About Us

Fairies have emerged in the Urban environment and are trying to form their own Fairy Court. Can do this when they can't stop fighting amongst themselves? The Great Courts are running interference to ensure the City stays chaotic and under their control. Explore the immersive world of the Urban Fey as Lord Neon tries to unite this diverse and contentious population.

Urban Fey is a collaborative project made by a mother/daughter team.

The Artist :

Name: Rhea Ewing

Occupation: Student and artist for Urban Fey

Favorite Food: Sushi and blueberries. But not together.

Bio: I'm a young art student working towards my bachelor's degree. When I'm not studying, drawing, painting, or fussing over the exact placement of pixels in Photoshop, I can usually be found running around in the woods or reading comics and playing video games. Urban Fey is my first graphic novel on any scale, and I've been enjoying the learning the experience, challenge, and feedback that I've received.

The Writer :

Name : Kimberley Long-Ewing

Occupation : Jack-of –all-Trades, Master of none; Cat Herder Extraordinaire

Favorite Food : Sushi and Sashimi, Dark Chocolate – but not together

Bio : I do a number of things for a living, have a PhD in experimental psychology, and am a mother of two talented children. One of them is the artist for this comic. I play guitar – classical, flamenco, and rhythm and blues, mess around with the violin – celtic, a bit of old-time, and drum – African, middle eastern, and frame. I also play around with a camera. I love to write and have stories and characters floating around in my head all the time. If I don't write them down, my muse explodes (or so he likes to tell me). I've been enjoying Urban Fey; the characters are engaging and it's a challenge to write things out so the artist can turn it into beautiful art.
